Job summary

Mirakl seeks a Data Science Intern in Paris to work with a 70-person team on data-rich marketplace platforms. You will analyze data, prototype ML ideas, and help productionize models while building dashboards and presenting findings weekly. The role offers mentoring, a Paris office, and up to two remote days per month.

Ideal candidates are final-year Master’s students in CS, fluent in French, with Python, SQL, and ML experience and a keen interest in scaling data science in industry.

Qualifications

• Master's student in CS or engineering, final year.
• Experience with data preparation and feature engineering.
• Familiarity with ML frameworks and cloud basics.
• French language fluency is required.

Responsibilities

Data Science Intern - January 2027

1. The Team You'll Join

You'll be part of our Data Science team, a group of around 70 data professionals working at the heart of Mirakl's platform. Together, you'll be making the most of rich and diverse marketplace data to grow customer revenue, optimize operations, and ensure the safety of users and transactions.

2. Your Impact

• Analyze and prepare data to ensure quality and relevance for algorithm development, following best practices for exploration and transformation
• Prototype and iterate on algorithms, testing and refining ideas with the support of your mentor and team
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to bring your solutions from experimentation to real-world production deployment
• Build dashboards to showcase the relevance of your work and monitor performance in production
• Present your findings weekly with the team, contributing to brainstorming sessions and tech watch initiatives

3. What You'll Bring to the Role

Experience:

• Currently enrolled in the final year of a Master's (Bac+5) in Computer Science at an engineering school or university
• Familiarity with data preparation techniques and feature engineering
• Understanding of statistics, machine learning, and deep learning algorithms
• Interest in the industrialization and scaling of data science models beyond experimental work

Skills:

• Cloud environment awareness (AWS, Google Cloud, or MS Azure)
• Strong communication and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
• Curiosity, autonomy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Python & its data science ecosystem (pandas,sklearn), SQL for data querying and manipulation, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, Databricks, Spark, AWS (Amazon Redshift, S3), Airflow, Delta Lake, streamlit, pydantic

5. Languages

• French – Fluent required
