Role of a Data Scientist at Dataiku

Our Data Scientists code solutions to real-world problems and engage in client-facing activities throughout the customer journey. Responsibilities include supporting platform discovery, integrating Dataiku with other tools, providing user training, and co-developing data science projects from design to deployment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist users in discovering and mastering the Dataiku platform through training, office hours, and support.
2. Co-develop production-level data science projects across various industries and use cases.
3. Offer strategic insights to customers and internal teams to ensure success.
4. Provide data science expertise to customers and Dataiku’s sales and marketing teams.
5. Represent Dataiku at public events via demos and tech talks.
6. Contribute to internal and external knowledge assets, such as best practices or blog posts.

Desired Experience

1. Curiosity and eagerness to learn new skills.
2. Empathy and willingness to share knowledge.
3. Ability to explain complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
4. Minimum 2 years experience with Python, SQL, and building ML models (e.g., sklearn).
5. Experience with LLMs, data visualization, and building web apps with Python frameworks like Dash or Streamlit.
6. Understanding of data systems such as Cloud architectures and SQL.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience using Dataiku DSS.
2. Background in consulting or customer-facing data science roles.
3. Experience in manufacturing, defense, or energy sectors.
4. Knowledge of data engineering or MLOps, and API development.
5. Passion for teaching or public speaking.
