SBRE is looking for a Data Scientist for its Cloud team based in Paris. This team is in charge of delivering and operating remote services and Web interfaces for our growing robot fleet worldwide. Such services allow robots to get our post resources, provide analytics metrics and access to “online intelligence”, in a scalable and secured manner.
Based on the latest technologies, deep AWS platform integration and an emerging multi-vendor cloud strategy, this position offers many opportunities to bring innovation and cutting edge data-driven approaches to our R&D.

To face the exciting challenge of creating learning & emotional robots, SBRE Cloud team has to collect massive amounts of data and process it. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with distributed technologies for the parallel processing of large amount of data and is knowledgeable in big data related topics (data mining, machine learning and predictive analysis). He will work in a multidisciplinary environment, helping R&D engineers from various (hardware or software) teams building better products.

In particular, we believe that learning skills and sharing spirits are the best assets in software industry.

Qualifications:

Your skills and experience include:

3+ years of previous experience in a data scientist / analyst role
Extensive experience working with some popular server-side development languages (Python, java, Go) and distributed computing frameworks (Hadoop, Spark)
Experience in using the right machine learning algorithm or model to solve a given problem
Knowledge and implementation know-how of popular machine learning algorithms
Ability to quickly learn and apprehend new technologies

Nice to have :

Experience with agile software development
Experience with data cleaning, cluster analysis
Tools for big data management, processing (Spark/Hadoop/Cassandra) and data visualization
Knowledge of R language and environment
Knowledge of the AWS platform
French language working proficiency
Previous experience with IOT or robotics
Previous experience with natural language processing
