Job summary

Artefact, a French data and AI consulting firm, seeks a Manager Data Scientist to lead end‑to‑end AI projects for clients, reporting to the CTO in Paris. You will frame use cases, ensure technical excellence, and guide solution design with business stakeholders and data teams.

You will develop a trusted data science team in the country, mentor juniors, drive internal accelerators, and stay ahead in ML, MLOps and cloud AI workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience delivering data-driven solutions.
• Strong knowledge in applied machine learning and generative AI.
• Solid understanding of software engineering and MLOps practices.
• Experience industrializing AI workflows in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Leading end-to-end client projects from framing use cases to delivering AI solutions.
• Ensuring technical excellence and promoting MLOps best practices.
• Supporting solution design by validating data availability and selecting methods.
• Being the technical reference for clients and advising on feasibility and ROI.
• Developing trusted client relationships with C-level and operational teams.
• Mentoring and coaching the country data science team.
• Driving internal accelerators and maintaining a technology watch.
