Job summary

Salomon in Annecy, France, is seeking a Data Product Owner to own the full lifecycle of data products, from framing business problems to adoption, reporting to the Data Product Manager.

You will map AS-IS and TO-BE states, define data solutions, lead backlogs, and drive agile delivery with business stakeholders, ensuring measurable impact and user enablement.

You will collaborate with data engineers, ensure data quality, and train users during demos and UAT to ensure strong adoption.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience as Data Product Owner, Data Product Manager, or in a similar product-facing data role.
• Proven track record owning data products end to end, from business discovery through UAT and post-release adoption.
• Experience running discovery with business teams and translating ambiguous needs into Epics and User Stories.
• Experience working within an Agile / PI Planning delivery model.
• Strong product & Agile mastery: backlog prioritization, PI Planning, User Story mapping.
• Advanced data architecture skills: ability to propose physical data models (e.g. Snowflake table structures).
• Strong SQL and BI proficiency, with hands-on experience building mock-ups in Power BI or Tableau.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools in a business context (Copilot, Claude or similar).

Responsibilities

• Frame the Business Challenge and map AS-IS / TO-BE scenarios.
• Assess granular data needs, sources, granularity and KPI logic.
• Model and prototype data solutions, define user journeys and mock-ups.
• Lead backlog, write Epics and detailed User Stories, prioritize value.
• Deliver, validate and enable adoption through UAT, demos and docs.
• Measure impact and drive iterative backlog improvements.
