Qualifications

• Expérience professionnelle en projets de data engineering dans un environnement Cloud.
• Maîtrise des technologies AWS et des outils de données.
• Anglais courant requis.

Responsabilités

• Participer aux phases de conception et de développement des projets de données.
• Automatiser le déploiement via le développement de solutions Infrastructure as Code.
• Surveiller et maintenir la plateforme de données.

As a Data Ops Engineer, you will join the Data Platform team, composed of Data Ops / Data Engineers, ML Ops, and Architects. The team’s mission is to ensure the availability and reliability of the data platform, while implementing tools and best practices around data management and operations.

• Our Tech teams are structured into autonomous squads and tribes, each responsible for a specific functional and technical domain—managing projects from end to end: development, load testing, delivery, and production monitoring (monitoring, alerting).
• By joining us, you’ll be part of a Fullstack team, giving you the opportunity to grow alongside Backend and Frontend developers, QA engineers, and other complementary roles.

YOUR ROLE WITHIN BETCLIC

Your responsibilities will include:

• Participating in the design and development phases of data projects, in collaboration with other team members (Data Ops / Data Engineers / ML Ops) and architects.

• Supporting Data Scientists and Analysts in implementing data science algorithms (API development, cloud architecture deployment, scaling, and adherence to best practices), and assisting Data Engineers with the deployment of their data pipelines.

• Automating the deployment of projects through the development of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines.

• Maintaining and monitoring the data platform (Data Lake, Data Streaming, Data Pipelines, Data APIs).

• Managing the evolution and maintenance of proposed solutions.

• Writing documentation related to the projects and their associated processes.

• Mentoring junior developers and supporting their technical growth.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for passionate and curious professionals who bring kindness and a touch of enthusiasm!

This job is for you if:

• You have a degree from an engineering school, IT school, or a university program such as MIAGE.
• You have successful professional experience in data engineering projects such as Data Lakes, Data Streaming, and Data Pipelines within a Public Cloud environment.
• You possess strong development skills, a keen interest in automation (CI/CD) and scripting and you thrive in a challenging work environment
• And finally, you speak English fluently
• Required Technical Expertise

We are looking for a candidate with strong proficiency in the following technologies:

• Cloud Providers: AWS, GCP, Azure
• Serverless Cloud Services: S3, Lambda, API Gateway, Application Load Balancer (ALB), Fargate, Kinesis, DynamoDB, Aurora, EC2
• Big Data Frameworks: Hadoop, Spark
• Orchestration Tools: Apache Airflow, Apache NiFi
• Streaming Technologies: Apache Flink, Apache Storm, Spark Streaming, Kinesis Stream
• Programming Languages: Python, Java, Scala
• Data Pipelines & Data Lake Tools: Snowflake, dbt

WHAT ARE THE RECRUITMENT STEPS?

If your application is shortlisted, Maxime will contact you within a week for an initial HR screening (30 minutes). Then, you will complete the AssessFirst test (personality, motivation and cognitive reasoning).

About two weeks later, you will either take a technical test with one of our Data Ops experts or work on a case study to present to Laurent Hervaud and Xavier Rampino.

Next, you will meet Xavier Rampino, your future manager, followed by Laurent Hervaud Head Of Data Platform. Finally, Maxime will conduct a final HR interview to review your AssessFirst results together.

The recruitment process usually takes between 4 to 6 weeks to ensure an optimal experience for you.
