Pre-Sales Solution Architect – Mainframe Modernisation & Cloud Services

Salary: €85,000 - €100,000 + Bonus and Benefits

Location: France - Remote with some travel

Full-time: Permanent

We’re seeking a Senior Pre-Sales Solution Architect to join our client's high-performing team and play a pivotal role in shaping innovative solutions for our clients. This role requires both technical expertise and strategic vision to support large-scale modernisation and cloud adoption programs.

Key Responsibilities for the Pre-Sales Solution Architect – Mainframe Modernisation & Cloud Services
  1. Lead the development of winning pre-sales solutions, proposals, and presentations.
  2. Collaborate with account teams, clients, and partners to design and deliver innovative Mainframe and Cloud Services solutions.
  3. Advise customers on migration strategies to Private or Public Cloud environments.
  4. Architect and implement mainframe infrastructure and modernisation solutions, both on-premises and in the cloud.
  5. Act as a thought leader and trusted advisor, influencing decision-makers up to board level.
  6. Drive best practices in automation, DevOps integration, and CI/CD for mainframe environments.
  7. Ensure solutions meet high standards in availability, security, compliance, and performance.
Required Experience for the Pre-Sales Solution Architect – Mainframe Modernisation & Cloud Services
  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (Master’s degree preferred).
  2. At least 7 years of presales experience and strong technical expertise in Mainframe and Cloud services.
  3. Proven experience designing, provisioning, and implementing mainframe modernisation solutions.
  4. Recognised certification(s) in Public Cloud Services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  5. Solid experience with IBM Z-series, z/OS, JES2/3, SDSF, SMF, CICS, DB2, MQ, RACF, and VSAM.
  6. Strong knowledge of mainframe networking, storage, and security frameworks.
  7. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills – able to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  8. Ability to clearly articulate the business value of solutions and differentiate from competitors.
  9. Experience with solution/product portfolios and handling large accounts within the technology industry.
Preferred Skills
  1. Expertise in cloud integration, hybrid architectures, and API-based modernisation.
  2. Hands-on experience in performance tuning, workload balancing, and capacity planning.
  3. Familiarity with governance models and best practices for enterprise infrastructure.
  4. Passion for transformation and customer success.
