Your key missions

Global Data Team has the mandate to drive data at scale by owning the data tech strategy and providing innovative building blocks for success at Pernod Ricard.

This team ensures consistency, efficiency, scalability, and value generation to support transformation programs, aiming to make Pernod Ricard a Conviviality Platform.

As part of the Data Management & Governance team within the Global Data Team, the Data Hubs Lead will:

  • Be responsible for Data Hubs from strategy to implementation and adoption to maximize value, consistency, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with sponsors, data stewards/owners, and data consumers to make Data Hubs successful and foundational for digital transformation.
  • Ensure data is common, understandable, trustworthy, and usable for all to support a data-driven culture.
  • Manage external resources and stakeholder relationships to enhance performance and results.

Role and responsibilities

Strategy and Management:

  • Promote Data Hubs initiatives to top management and transformation teams.
  • Support business units in their Data Hubs projects to become more data-driven.
  • Define standards and frameworks for Data Hubs to ensure consistency and replicability.
  • Implement a Data-As-A-Product and self-service data approach.
  • Conduct audits to assess current data maturity and business ambitions, validating the need for new Data Hubs.

Implementation Oversight:

  • Define specifications to evaluate data maturity and implementation complexity.
  • Ensure agile technical deployment of Data Hubs capabilities.
  • Establish organizational and operational structures for Data Hubs, considering future evolution.
  • Assist IT in decommissioning redundant data flows.

Communication and Adoption:

  • Proactively communicate strategy and roadmap across the organization.
  • Define and track KPIs related to user adoption and affiliate engagement.
  • Lead community engagement and manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Develop programs to ensure transparency and avoid black box effects.

Team and External Network Management:

  • Organize and evolve Data Hubs teams around products/services.
  • Ensure effective communication within teams.
  • Manage external teams and budgets, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and quality standards.
  • Maintain a network of industry peers, consultancies, and experts to stay current with market trends.

Candidate profile:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Engineering, Business, or related fields.
  • Minimum 7 years in data roles, with significant experience in data management/governance, preferably internationally.
  • Strong business acumen and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments, multitask, prioritize, and proactively solve problems.
  • Open-minded, creative, and committed to diversity and talent development.
  • Fluent in English and French.

Tools & Technologies:

  • DAMA certification (plus).
  • Master Data Management: Semarchy (plus).
  • Data Governance tools: Data catalog, business glossary, data dictionary.
  • Data Quality tools: DQM, matching, profiling, lineage.
  • Data Visualization: PowerBI (plus).
  • Data storage and processing: AWS, Snowflake, Python/R.
  • Project & support tools: JIRA, Trello, Confluence, Remedy Force, Asgard.
