Qualifications

  • 3+ ans d'expérience en ingénierie des données dans un environnement cloud moderne.
  • 2+ ans en position de leadership, mise en place de processus agiles.
  • Excellente maîtrise de l'anglais professionnel.

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Betclic. We are currently looking for a Data Engineering Manager F/M in Bordeaux.

Step into a key leadership role at the heart of a tech-driven organization where data is a strategic asset. As a Data Engineering Manager, you'll lead a cross-functional squad in a Data Mesh environment, blending hands-on technical guidance with team leadership and delivery ownership. Your mission: drive innovation, scalability, and operational excellence across data solutions. You'll be surrounded by passionate engineers and a collaborative culture that encourages autonomy, experimentation, and impact.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead and mentor a data engineering squad, promoting ownership, autonomy, and continuous growth.
  • Set clear objectives, provide feedback, and support the professional development of team members.
  • Contribute technically by participating in pipeline development, dashboard design, and on-call rotations.
  • Make strategic decisions on data modeling, testing, security, and Dev/DataOps practices.
  • Drive roadmap execution, monitor delivery KPIs, manage risks, and promote cost-efficient development (FinOps).
  • Coordinate incident response, monitor production performance, and implement continuous improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineering managers, product owners, and domain experts to align technical priorities and business goals.
  • 3+ years of experience as a senior or advanced data engineer in a modern, cloud-native data environment (SQL, Python, data ops, visualization, etc.).
  • 2+ years in a leadership position (Manager, Tech Lead, Team Lead) within agile organizations.
  • Solid understanding of modern data architectures, production ownership, and incident management.
  • Proven ability to manage delivery in fast-paced B2C environments and to adapt to scale and change.
  • Clear communication skills and full professional fluency in English.
  • Passion for technology, innovation, and fostering team excellence.
  • Comfortable navigating cross-functional collaboration and team recruitment.
  • 25 paid vacation days plus 10 RTT days.
