Metreecs is seeking a data engineer to shape and maintain the infrastructure powering forecasting models and client integrations. You will build and optimize ETL pipelines, collaborate with the AI and onboarding teams, and enable smooth data ingestion for new clients while applying SQL, Python, and ML tooling to derive actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Experience with SQL and Python, including Pandas and ML libraries.

• Demonstrated hackathon participation and Kaggle competitions.

About the Role

As part of the data team, you'll help shape and maintain the infrastructure that powers our forecasting models, while ensuring smooth integration for new clients. This is a hands‑on role where thoughtful problem‑solving and careful implementation make a real difference.

What You’ll Do

• Design & Build ETL Pipelines: Extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources (CSV, APIs, databases) into our data warehouse
• API Integration: Develop and maintain integrations with third‑party systems to streamline data flows for both R&D and client setups
• Cross‑functional Collaboration: Partner with the AI team to prepare training data, and with the onboarding team to support client data ingestion and custom reports
• Ad Hoc Analytics & Modeling: Use SQL, Python, Pandas, Polars, and ML libraries to explore datasets, prototype models, and deliver insights for client missions

We Expect You To Have

• Experience with SQL and Python, including hands‑on work with Pandas and ML libraries
• Familiarity with ETL concepts and building data pipelines
• Experience working with APIs (REST, JSON) and integrating external data sources
• Knowledge of relational databases ("e.g., PostgreSQL")
• Flexible, solution‑oriented mindset
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams and clients
• Track record of hackathon participation
• Experience with Kaggle competitions
