Metreecs is seeking a Software Engineer Intern to own core services powering our forecasting platform. You will build and maintain high-performance APIs, model scalable database solutions, and collaborate with data science and frontend teams to deliver end-to-end features.

Ideal candidates have Python backend experience with FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and Docker, plus a strong REST design mindset and Git proficiency. Paris-based internship with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with PostgreSQL: schema design, indexing, query optimization.
• Strong Python backend experience, especially with FastAPI.
• Solid understanding of REST principles and API design.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative workflows.
• Experience using Docker in production environments.

Responsabilités

• API Development: Design, implement, and optimize RESTful services with FastAPI and SQLAlchemy.
• Data modeling: Design PostgreSQL schemas for scalable data.
• Collaborate with data science and frontend for integration points.
• Write tests and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Profile and optimize backend endpoints for low latency.
