Position summary
The Nestlé France Data department is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help us scale our infrastructure so that we can deliver actionable insights throughout the firm. Current and future use cases across business teams encompass marketing impact models and optimization, recommendation engines, merchandizing placement, forecasting, SEO, A/B testing, etc
A day in the life of a
• Own the data stack: design, standardize and optimize the data pipelines for a 32 people strong department. Ensure the scalability, stability and performance of the platform.
• Understand the data, organization and preprocessing required to answer growing business needs.
• Build and maintain our CI/CD.
• Work closely with internal (Data Architects, Head of Data Analytics & Science, CDO) and external collaborators (Nestlé group resources, consultants) to get projects across the finish line.
• Hire and lead 2-4 data engineers and architects. Management responsibilities are possible depending on experience and desire. Technical lead path is also an option.
• Communicate on best practices and actively participate in upskilling the department.
The role can be partially remote and there will be flexibility, but you should expect to spend 40% of the time (on a monthly basis) in the Issy-les-Moulineaux office.
What will make you successful
• Around 7 years of experience in data engineering, preferably with 2-3 years as lead, possibly with some management experience.
• Solid Python & SQL programming. • Some DataOps / DevOps experience, building a CI/CD pipeline.
• Mastery of a modern cloud-based data stack. Experience deploying and maintaining ML Model in production is a plus.
• Knowledge of Azure, Databricks, Snowflake is a plus but not a requirement. Back-end experience a plus as well.
• Your English and French are Fluent
