Job summary

HyLight is seeking a Data Engineer to own the data chain from field payloads to cloud processing. You will ensure payloads are ops-ready, field uploads are reliable, and data flows are traceable across the pipeline.

This generalist role spans embedded hardware and cloud software; you will optimize compute and storage, automate cost-aware workflows, and build dashboards to monitor flight data and costs. Base is Brétigny-sur-Orge with potential hybrid work.

Qualifications

• Experience in backend, data, DevOps, or SRE in production.
• Strong Python and Linux skills.
• Experience with data pipelines and cloud storage.
• Willingness to work across hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Own data chain end-to-end from payloads to cloud processing.
• Ensure payloads are ops-ready and uploads work in the field.
• Monitor data ingestion and ensure traceability across the pipeline.
• Investigate incidents and fix root causes.
