Main responsibilities:

• Establish technical designs to meet business and technical requirements as a prime data engineering expert.
• Develop and maintain all components of data engineering solutions and pipelines using appropriate tools and technologies.
• Optimize solutions (ETL/data pipelines) to balance performance, functionality, cost, and operational requirements.
• Conduct peer reviews for quality, consistency, and rigor for production-level solutions.
• Create design and development documentation for knowledge transfer, training, and maintenance.
• Define and promote best practices for code management, automated testing, and deployments.
• Leverage or create new standard data pipelines within Sanofi to bring value through business use cases.
• Develop automated tests for CI/CD pipelines and validate developed solutions to ensure they meet requirements.
• Assess and resolve data pipeline issues to ensure performance and timely execution.
• Manage efforts to modernize and replace legacy solutions and platforms.
• Partner with Data Engineering Manager, Product Owner, and Data Analysts to create implementation plans, including assessments of timelines and complexity.
• Actively contribute to the Data Engineering community and define leading practices and frameworks.

About you

• Experience: Proven experience working with cross-functional teams to solve complex data architecture and engineering problems.
• Technical skills: Proven experience with Informatica Cloud or Informatica Power Center. Demonstrated ability to learn new data and software engineering technologies quickly. Experience with agile/scrum development processes. Technical analysis and problem-solving skills related to data and technology solutions. Proficiency in data structures and algorithms, scripting languages (Python, R, SQL, Shell scripting), and relevant technologies such as databases, distributed systems, and microservices.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field.
• Languages: Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
• Soft skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Pragmatic problem-solver with technical intuition and attention to detail. Service-oriented, flexible, and a team player.
