White Circle is hiring a Data Engineer in Paris to design, build, and maintain production data pipelines and a robust data warehouse. You will model data to support engineering, product, and research teams, own schema design, migrations, and cost management, and collaborate with GTM teams to deliver enriched company data.

Qualifications

• Solid experience building and running production data pipelines and data warehouses.
• Strong SQL and Python proficiency.
• Experience designing data models for cross-team use.
• Hands-on with a modern data stack (ETL/ELT, orchestration, analytics stores).
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar systems.
• Production mindset focusing on reliability, migrations, performance, and cost.
• Ability to work independently end-to-end in an early-stage environment.
• Fluent English.

Responsabilités

White Circle is an AI safety company that develops a platform for the safety, reliability, and optimization of AI systems. The organization utilizes natural-language policies to automatically test, enforce, and improve AI model behavior at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain reliable production data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and orchestration
• Model and structure data in the warehouse to ensure it is clean, documented, and useful for engineering, product, and research teams
• Own data infrastructure, including schema design, migrations, performance, and cost management
• Provide data support to GTM engineers by delivering curated, enriched company and account data
• Integrate and route diverse data sources into the warehouse, including internal product events and third-party feeds
• Build data‑extraction jobs and web scraping as needed
• Improve data quality, observability, and documentation
• Diagnose and resolve pipeline issues
• Execute data and infrastructure tasks to enhance system robustness

Requirements

• Solid experience as a data engineer building and running production pipelines and data warehouses
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
• Experience designing data models for collaborative use
• Hands‑on experience with a modern data stack, including relational databases, columnar/analytics stores, orchestration, and transformation tools
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar systems
• Production mindset with a focus on reliability, migrations, performance, and cost
• Ability to work independently and own problems end‑to‑end in an early‑stage environment
• Fluent English
• Nice to have: Experience with streaming/eventing (e.g., Kafka)
• Nice to have: Dataset versioning
