5V Tech in Grenoble is seeking a Data Analytics Engineer to own data architecture and turn data into strategic business insights. You will work on Data Lake architecture, BI, embedded analytics, and eventually ML and GenAI exploration, with a hands-on, end-to-end scope.

The role covers evolving Bronze/Silver/Gold data layers, ETL design, data quality, and cost-optimised reporting for industrial clients, requiring autonomy and strong curiosity.

Qualifications

• Bac+5 (Engineering or Master’s in Data) required.
• Expert level SQL and Python.
• Experience with Azure Data Stack (ADF, ADLS Gen2, Synapse).
• Fluent English; French a strong plus.
• Autonomous, rigorous and curious about the 'why' behind the data.
• Interest in Machine Learning and GenAI is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Evolving the Data Lake (ADLS Gen2) into a Bronze/Silver/Gold architecture.
• Developing and optimising data objects to support several million rows processed weekly.
• Designing and maintaining ETL pipelines with Azure Data Factory and Synapse.
• Owning data quality and reliability across the platform.
• Building business KPIs and BI/operational reporting alongside engineers.
• Developing embedded analytics solutions for end clients.
• Optimising compute costs and report performance (star schema, aggregations).
• Exploring predictive analytics (Azure ML) and conversational interfaces (Azure OpenAI) once core platform is stabilised.

5V Tech are working with a fast-growing deep tech scale-up in Grenoble, building next-generation sensing and analytics technology for industrial clients.

As part of their Software team, they're now looking for a Data Analytics Engineer to take ownership of their data architecture and turn it into a real driver of business decisions, not just a reporting layer.

This is a hands‑on role covering everything from Data Lake architecture through to BI, embedded analytics and, eventually, ML and GenAI exploration.

Day to day

• Evolving the Data Lake (ADLS Gen2) into a structured Bronze/Silver/Gold architecture
• Developing and optimising data objects to support several million rows processed weekly
• Designing and maintaining ETL pipelines with Azure Data Factory and Synapse
• Owning data quality and reliability across the platform
• Building business KPIs and BI/operational reporting alongside the Field Applications Engineers
• Developing embedded analytics solutions for end clients
• Optimising compute costs and report performance (star schema modelling, aggregations)
• Exploring predictive analytics (Azure ML) and conversational interfaces (Azure OpenAI) once the core platform is stabilised

Requirements

• Bac+5 (Engineering or specialised Master's in Data)
• Expert level SQL and Python
• Confirmed experience across the Azure Data Stack (ADF, ADLS, Synapse)
• Fluent English required, French a strong plus
• Autonomous, rigorous and genuinely curious about the "why" behind the data
• Appetite for Machine Learning and GenAI is a real plus for how the role evolves
