Job summary

HelloFresh France is seeking a proactive Demand Planner to validate data, build forecasts, and support European demand plans. You will write SQL, develop dashboards, and collaborate with analysts to improve forecast accuracy and reduce waste, while learning advanced forecasting techniques in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with Databricks/Snowflake and BI tools, ensuring data quality and timely decision support for procurement and production across markets.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in Demand Planning or related analytics role.
• Strong SQL, Excel, PowerBI (or Tableau); Python is a plus.
• Familiarity with forecasting metrics (MAPE, bias) and their operational impact.
• Curiosity about forecasting with limited historical data and new markets.
• Aware of demand and supply risks; eager to learn mitigations.
• Comfortable using JIRA/Confluence for tracking and backlogs.
• Good communication; present data clearly to technical and non-technical colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day data validation and QA across demand data pipelines; identify anomalies and data breaks.
• Build and maintain automated alerts for data quality issues and forecast anomalies.
• Investigate discrepancies between forecast and actuals; document root causes.
• Write and maintain SQL queries to extract, validate, and transform demand data across clouds (Databricks, Snowflake).
• Support development and refinement of forecasting models under guidance from senior analysts.
• Build dashboards and automated reports (Tableau/PowerBI) for KPIs like forecast accuracy and availability.
• Work with forecast engineers to ensure pipelines handle local market nuances in the codebase.
• Use AI tools (e.g., Gemini, Claude) to speed up tasks like writing SQL and summarising data.
• Support daily/weekly demand plans for European markets; ensure accuracy at decision time.
• Monitor trends, seasonality, and promotions; flag adjustments as needed.
• Track forecast performance against KPIs and surface actionable insights for the team.
• Participate in weekly S&OP planning with Market Leadership, Logistics, Production, Procurement.
• Help reflect marketing campaigns in the demand view before hitting the supply chain.
• Assist root-cause analysis when deviations occur; quantify impact on waste and service levels.
