Forterro FR is seeking a Data Engineer to advance our data-driven strategy within Enterprise IT Applications. You will design and optimise scalable data solutions, maintain the centralised data warehouse, and ensure data quality, governance, and security across our data ecosystem.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across geographies, build robust ETL pipelines, and deliver reliable reports, dashboards, and BI insights to support business decisions. The role is hands-on and fast-paced.

Qualifications

  • Design and deliver data warehouse solutions with strong SQL, ETL, data modelling skills.
  • Experience in ERP environments, data migrations, and system integrations valued.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into robust data solutions with governance.

Description

As a Data Engineer within our Enterprise IT Applications team, you will play a key role in advancing our data-driven strategy. Working closely with stakeholders across multiple teams and geographies, you will design, develop, and optimise scalable data solutions that enable reliable reporting, analytics, and business decision-making.

You will be responsible for maintaining and evolving our centralised data warehouse, building robust ETL pipelines, and ensuring data quality, security, and governance across our data ecosystem. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges, driving continuous improvement, and turning business requirements into effective technical solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data warehouse solutions, ETL pipelines, and data models.
  • Extract, transform, and integrate data from multiple source systems while applying business logic and validation rules.
  • Develop and automate data processes, reports, and dashboards to support business intelligence initiatives.
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver impactful data solutions.
  • Monitor, analyse, and resolve data quality issues, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data collection, integration, and reporting processes.
  • Collaborate with reporting and analytics teams to ensure efficient and reliable data delivery.
  • Lead data-focused projects and manage priorities effectively across multiple initiatives.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

You have proven experience in designing and delivering data warehouse solutions, with strong expertise in SQL, ETL processes, data modelling, and cloud-based data platforms. You are confident building and maintaining robust data pipelines, ensuring data quality, governance, and security standards are consistently met.

You enjoy collaborating with both business and technical stakeholders, translating requirements into effective data solutions. Experience within ERP environments, data migrations, and system integrations is highly valued. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential.

Desirable
  • Hands‑on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  • Strong SQL and data modelling skills, ideally with Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Familiarity with the Azure data ecosystem, including Data Lake Storage, Azure Functions, and Microsoft Purview.
