As a Data Architect with Kyndryl, you will play a vital role in managing all aspects of data and information, from understanding business requirements to translating them into data models scheme design and data architectures. Your expertise will be critical in guiding the full IT data lifecycle governance, including acquisition, transformation, classification, storage, presentation, distribution, security, privacy, and archiving to ensure data is accurate, complete and secure.

You will work closely with our customers to design solutions and data architectures that address their unique business problems, considering their needs and constraints while applying your industry knowledge and expertise. You will have the opportunity to work with diverse technologies, like databases (relational, hierarchical and object-oriented), file systems and storage management, document imaging, knowledge and content management, taxonomies and business intelligence. All relevant for designing business-driven IT solutions that meet data requirements and incorporate cloud solutions for different types of storage needs.

As a Data Architect, you will have the chance to develop and design centralized or distributed systems that both address user requirements and perform efficiently and effectively. You will ensure the viability of proposed solutions by conducting solution assurance assessments and work closely with the project team and key stakeholders to ensure that the final solution meets all customer requirements and expectations.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience in Dimensional Modelling for Enterprise DWH - Star Schema, Slowly Changing Dimensions, Transactional Facts, Snapshot Facts.
• Experience developing Data Marts and/or Semantic Layers based on end user requirements.
• Expertise in Logical and Physical data modelling using ERWin or other data modeling tool like SAP Powerdesigner.
• Experience in design and implementation of DWH data model in the Banking Industry preferred.
• Experience with any Industry Data Models (Teradata, FIBO, IBM, PI etc) and leading design and requirements workshops with business users.
• Experience designing/reverse engineering data models from existing DWH and ODS Systems.
• Experience Implementing an End-to-End DWH model on any RDBMS/MPP system (One or more of Greenplum, Oracle, Teradata, Redshift, DB2, Snowflake etc.).
• Expertise in SQL.
• Strong knowledge in data modeling, database design and data management best practices.
• Ability to architect, design and implement infrastructure and platforms from a data and storage perspective leveraging Google/Azure/AWS cloud native services.
• Experience with programming languages, such as Python, C, C++ and Java.
• Reference to the use and/or design of ETL/ELT pipelines, and orchestration tools (Airflow, Luigi, etc.).
• Experience designing lakehouse architectures (Delta Lake, Iceberg, Databricks, Cloudera, etc.).
• Experience designing data mesh architecture or data fabric for managing large-scale distributed environments.
• Implementation of iterative and collaborative approaches for the management, quality and automation of data flows with an ML/AI component.
• Advanced governance details: metadata management, data lineage, catalogs (Collibra, Alation, GCP/AWS/Azure Data Catalog, etc.).
• Management and implementation of MDM solutions.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, microservices, and serverless architectures.
• Having already worked on Agile/Scrum project methodology.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• 3+ years of Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, data integration and governance framework with one of the three cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Security, or a related field.
