PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Alstom and the Digital & Integrated Systems (D&IS) Product Line is entering a new strategic cycle with high degree of business performance ambition. Along this new cycle some major strategic changes are to be well tackled in the coming months

1/ Continuous adjustment of the mix of our activities

2/ Deliver a step in terms of operational performance/efficiency

3/ Rise of digital content within our projects/portfolio to deliver

In this dynamic context, this position will be in charge on behalf of the D&IS President with the support of the strategy & commercial team reporting to this role to:

  • Steer and monitor implementation of the strategic plan incl. Merger & Acquisition pipeline
  • Steer & secure alignment with regions on the commercial pipeline
  • Monitor market evolution and competitor & produce the market price for key tenders
  • Steer the D&IS solutions and product marketing strategy

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

D&IS Strategy and Market analysis

  • Drive the adoption and monitoring of the D&IS strategic plan and ALSTOM Digital strategic plan, in coordination with D&IS platforms, Regions and Corporate strategy team
  • Support communication of the plan to various forums (regions, platforms, Board)
  • Provide market intelligence (e.g., market shares, insights on competition, trends) to the D&IS leadership team and ensure collaboration with UIC, UITP, UNIFE
  • Prepare and review the D&IS Country Strategic Plans
  • Provide D&IS perspective and support to the Corporate strategic team, and support preparation of key presentations (e.g., Board presentation)

D&IS M&A:

  • Structure M&A target list by platform & geographies & run investigations on pursued targets
  • Continuous support of AT-BT merge remedies routine meetings with authorities

D&IS commercial pipeline management and market pricing production

  • Drive the commercial order list prioritization with Alstom regions (Commercial Carrousel)
  • Secure order mix evolve as planned (e.g. small orders & services business growth) alongside D&IS platforms
  • Deliver the market price for D&IS key tenders worldwide assessing competitors potential moves

D&IS product marketing

  • Organize and participate to major marketing event (e.g. Innotrans, UITP)
  • Animate the sales network on D&IS products
  • Develop and deploy the product marketing plans (marketing campaigns on new products, product sheets production and update, case studies for internal communication…)

Special transformation projects

  • Drive ad-hoc projects such as operational or organization transformations beyond strategic or commercial topics on behalf of D&IS President or Engineering VP

  • Well organized with capacity to synthetize clear presentations to the Top Management
  • Past experience in strategy is required
  • Analytical skills and large data set processing
  • Capability to represent Alstom & work with customers, develop credibility.
