The Multi-domain Solutions Division (MDS) within the Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a skilled Cyber Engineer to join a new cyber security program and play a key role in supporting government-critical systems. You will be part of a program that oversees development, integration, delivery, and operations and maintenance of IT managed security services, which encompasses support to monitor the cybersecurity threat and security posture situational awareness for the enterprise. This opportunity is in anticipation of a future contract award!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Design, implement, and maintain security solutions that protect networks, systems, and data from cyber threats.
  • Apply a strong technical background in cybersecurity, network security, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Play a critical role in securing our infrastructure, responding to security incidents, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint security, and SIEM tools.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Monitor security systems and respond to security incidents, investigating and mitigating threats.
  • Support the integration of security best practices into system development and IT operations.
  • Implement and maintain identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with security frameworks and regulatory standards (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR).
  • Automate security processes and enhance detection capabilities using scripting (Python, PowerShell, etc.).
  • Research and stay up-to-date with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.
  • Assist in security awareness training and policy development.
  • Work closely with IT, DevOps, and security teams to ensure a secure system architecture.

What does Leidos need from me?

  • Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) with Polygraph security clearance required. Must be U.S. Citizen.
  • Bachelor's and 4 to 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 to 6 years of prior relevant experience. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Favorable if you have:

  • CompTIA Network+
  • CISSP or other IAT III

Pay Range:

Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
