Applied Global Services (AGS) offers consulting spare parts and services to improve the performance and productivity of customers equipment and fab operations. Industry trends materials engineering remote access deep learning and augmented realityhave led to significant advances in how the AGS group supports its global customers.

From development through production as device specifications become more stringent AGS service offerings have helped customers achieve important yield output and cost improvements at every step of the semiconductor fab life cycle.

What Youll Do

Applied Materials is looking for an experienced Business Development Senior Director to direct the establishment of vision and strategies to achieve Applied Materials Europe AGS financial goals. In this role you will report to the VP AGS Business Development.

Location : This position is available at either our Grenoble location in France or our Dresden location in Germany. It is a fulltime permanent role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Articulate and has accountability for long term vision and strategy for his region to expand Applieds Service Agreements business and customer base as well as increase operational efficiencies in support of Applieds business objectives.
  • Influence and lead teams across multiple disciplines departments and processes by building a vision and shared objectives that enable breakthrough development.
  • Lead all Europe Service Business in deal design and negotiation planning. Provide sales for his region with wellarticulated deals within AGS boundaries that drive profitability and enable long term partnership with customers in the region
  • Partners with management team and other marketing functions (e.g. product marketing product management Pricing) to ensure that business development function is effectively meeting the organizations strategic goals.
  • Analyzes market data to identify customer specific trends / opportunities and develops account specific strategic direction from market information.

Skills Knowledge Experience and Education

  • 15 years of experience including 5 years in senior leadership role(s) managing portfolio of products services processes driving innovation and balancing decision and action across the lifecycle.
  • Familiar with Europe semiconductor customers and ecosystem including key customers decision making process / business / roadmap
  • Ability to build trust / confidence as go to partner regarded as key person within the region / organization to take critical decisions and provide inputs to grow the region business activities.
  • Analyzing processing and decisionmaking based on multidisciplinary and multifunctional data sources that could frequently be incomplete.
  • Be able to take well thought data driven and not always popular decisions under high pressure environment in order to drive the overall region objectives
  • Sales mind set with Operation understanding.
  • Understand endtoend complex Fab operation different levels of complexity
  • Demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of the semiconductor industry in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business. This includes enabling the business unit to differentiate itself from the competition
  • Process oriented while also strongly developing and relying on interpersonal relationships across the company
  • Demonstrated capability to plan at a horizon up to 5 years and beyond.
  • Ability to connect equally well upwards downwards and sideways in the organization
  • Very strong ability to translate multidimensional market requirements into engineering specifications. This would also include negotiating with the various stakeholders.
