Cadence in Toulouse is seeking an acoustics specialist to join the System Design and Analysis group. You will deliver challenging services projects using Actran and other Cadence CAE tools, collaborating with product development and management.

The role includes providing advanced technical support, training customers, and creating technical documentation. A Master’s in engineering and 3+ years in NVH/Acoustics are required, with strong English and programming skills in Python or Matlab.

Qualifications

  • Strong interest in acoustics and vibration
  • Master's degree in engineering (solid mechanics, fluid mechanics or civil engineering preferred)
  • 3+ years in NVH simulation and acoustics
  • Experience with Cadence CAE software (Actran, Nastran, ANSA, META, scFLOW or similar)
  • Fluent in English, good communication within an international team

Responsabilités

  • Deliver acoustic, vibro-acoustic and aero-acoustic services using Actran and Cadence tools
  • Create and validate proofs of concepts from customer models with cross-functional teams
  • Provide advanced technical support for Actran to customers and regional teams
  • Deliver Actran training to customers
  • Create and update technical docs for training, sales enablement and product marketing
  • Support regional teams and distributors in promoting and using Actran

At Cadence, we hire and develop leaders and innovators who want to make an impact on the world of technology. Cadence develops and supports the Actran software suite for acoustic simulation. Leading automotive companies (OEM's and their suppliers), aircraft manufacturers, aircraft engine suppliers, audio system designers (and more) are using our technology to improve the acoustic performance of their products virtually, through simulation.

As a member of the System Design and Analysis group, you will be integrated to our Acoustics Professional Services team.

Your main responsibilities will be:
  • Delivering challenging services projects in acoustic, vibro-acoustic and aero-acoustic to our customers with Actran Software and other leading CAE software of the Cadence portfolio
  • Creating and validating proof of concepts based on customer industrial models through intensive collaboration with the Actran Product Development Team and Product Management Team
  • Providing advanced technical support of the Actran acoustic simulation software to worldwide customers and regional technical teams in collaboration with the Customer Support group
  • Providing advanced Actran training to our customers
  • Creating, updating and improving technical documentation for training, sales enablement and product marketing
  • Supporting our regional teams and our distributors in promoting and using Actran.
Requirements:
  • A strong interest and motivation in the field of acoustics is essential.
  • Masters degree in engineering is a prerequisite, preferably in Solid Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics or Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant work experience in NVH simulation and Acoustics
  • Experience with commercial CAE software from Cadence (structural FEA, acoustics FEA or CFD package) such as Actran, Nastran, ANSA, META, scFLOW or other software like SimCenter 3D, VA-One, Comsol, Wave-6,Ansys, Optistruct, Abaqus, StarCCm+, Fluent, , PowerFlow.
  • Fluent in English. able to communicate effectively within an international team.
  • Programming skills Python, Matlab VS Code)
  • Problem-solving skills, ability to create engineering solutions to customer problems
  • First experience in an industrial environment would be a huge plus
