We're seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the development of our innovative technologies at the intersection of radiation physics and cryogenic engineering.

You will have a strong background in radiation physics or related domains, and will oversee the design and deployment of advanced radiation measurement services tailored for biobank environments.

If you enjoy solving complex physical challenges and transforming scientific research into practical tools, this role is for you. Join us to lead a team pushing the boundaries of cryogenics and radiation detection solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Service Development: Develop and launch radiation detection and consulting services for biobanks, including precision measurement methodologies and shielding recommendations.
  2. Measurement & Validation: Conduct simulations and on-site radiation measurements to ensure regulatory compliance.
  3. Radiation Physics Expertise: Apply knowledge to optimize shielding materials and develop radiation protection strategies.
  4. Collaboration & Partnerships: Work with research institutions like CNRS to refine techniques and shielding solutions.
  5. Innovation & IP Strategy: Manage IP portfolio, file patents, and develop simulation models to maintain market advantage.
  6. Team Building: Recruit and lead a team skilled in radiation measurement, cryogenics, and product design.
Compensation:

This is a co-founder role with equity participation. Immediate financial compensation is deferred until funding is secured, at which point remuneration will commence. You will have the opportunity to become a shareholder and contribute to long-term value creation.

Qualifications
  • Academic Background: Engineer or PhD in nuclear physics, nuclear engineering, or related fields, with knowledge in radiation measurement or radioprotection.
  • Experience: 5+ years in radiation protection, cryogenics, or cryostat development, preferably in startup or R&D environments.

  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup and willingness to self-fund until the pre-seed round closes.

Cell Tereo offers patented cryopreservation technology that shields biological samples from radiation during long-term storage, developed in collaboration with CNRS and supported by SATT Linksium Grenoble Alpes & Station F.

Why Join Us?

As CTO, you will be at the forefront of developing advanced radiation measurement services to revolutionize cryogenic preservation of biological materials, impacting biomedical research and biobanking. This role offers a unique opportunity to pioneer a market-first solution with significant scientific and societal impact.
