You will craft campaigns, collaborate with marketing and design across time zones, and produce content that resonates emotionally with diverse audiences in Africa and beyond.

Qualifications

• Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or Creative Writing or equivalent proven experience.
• 3–5 years of professional creative writing, copywriting, or content creation with a strong portfolio.
• Understanding of the African socioeconomic landscape and diverse consumer behaviors.
• Excellent command of English with flawless grammar and proofreading skills.
• Familiarity with digital marketing tools, CMS platforms, and collaboration apps.

Responsabilités

• Brand storytelling across all digital touchpoints to maintain a consistent voice.
• Write long-form and short-form content including blogs, articles, and whitepapers.
• Conceptualize and script audio-visual content for podcasts and social ads.

Job Title: Creative Writer

Job Summary: We are looking for a visionary, culturally attuned Creative Writer to help us craft compelling stories that resonate with our brand. In this role, you will be the voice of our brand, blending deep emotional storytelling with strategic marketing objectives. You will dive into our audience's psyche to produce high-conversion copy, engaging scripts, and immersive blog posts.

As a creative writer, you will have the freedom to ideate and conceptualize original campaigns that highlight the vibrant, dynamic nature of the organization. You will work closely with our marketing and design teams across multiple time zones to ensure our narratives are not just read, but felt.

Job Responsibilities

• Brand Storytelling: Develop and maintain a consistent, captivating brand voice across all digital touchpoints (website, email campaigns, social media, and newsletters).
• Content Creation: Write high-quality, long-form and short-form content including blogs, articles, and whitepapers.
• Scriptwriting: Conceptualize and script compelling audio-visual content for podcasts, YouTube, TikTok, and Meta ads.
• Copywriting: Craft conversion-focused ad copy and landing page text that drives user engagement and sales.
• Trend Analysis & SEO: Research emerging cultural trends across Africa to inform creative angles. Optimize digital content for search engines to increase organic reach.
• Collaboration: Brainstorm with the remote design and video teams to align written words with visual assets.

Job Requirements

• Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Creative Writing, or a related field (or equivalent proven experience).
• 3–5 years of professional creative writing, copywriting, or content creation experience. A strong personal portfolio is highly preferred.
• A deep understanding of the African socioeconomic landscape, pop culture, and diverse consumer behaviors.
• Exceptional command of the English language with impeccable grammar, syntax, and proofreading skills.
• Familiarity with digital marketing tools, CMS platforms (like WordPress), and virtual collaboration apps (Slack, Google Workspace).
• Must be self-driven, highly organized, and capable of meeting strict deadlines without constant supervision.
