As a Country Representative, you will act as the face of Maya Trips in your region, promoting authentic travel experiences in Nepal and building partnerships that reflect our values of purpose-driven travel.

Reports To : Global Partnerships Coordinator
Responsibilities
- Outreach & Promotion: Actively promote Maya Trips’ tour products and brand in your region; build awareness through personal network, social media, and industry channels; suggest and implement outreach strategies based on local context; identify and collaborate with local travel agencies, influencers, and organizations.
- Sales & Lead Generation: Generate and manage leads for trips to Nepal; provide initial information and pre-sales support to prospective travelers or agents; coordinate with the Maya Trips team for trip customization, pricing, and confirmations.
- Brand Representation: Maintain alignment with Maya Trips brand values and positioning; ensure all communication and content follows brand guidelines; participate in orientation and periodic check-ins to stay updated on new products and offers.
- Reporting & Communication: Submit a monthly activity report summarizing outreach efforts, leads generated, and key market insights; attend virtual meetings for strategic alignment and support; share customer feedback and market opportunities with the central team.
Compensation & Growth
- Commission Structure: Commission is paid per successful booking after final payment is received; rates vary by package and region, outlined in the official commission sheet; top-performing representatives may be eligible for quarterly or monthly retainers.
- Growth Path:
- 1. Retainer Model: Representatives who confirm 10+ trips in 12 months may qualify for a retainer; retainers are fixed monthly / quarterly payments in addition to commissions.
- 2. Employment Opportunities: High-performing representatives may be offered full-time roles in Regional Sales or Marketing, Strategic Partnerships, or Office Management (if a local Maya Trips office is established).
Eligibility & Onboarding
- Experience or strong interest in travel, tourism, or cultural exchange
- Background in roles such as travel advisor, freelance consultant, community builder, or digital creator
- Strong local or niche network with the ability to influence or generate leads
- Proactive, self-motivated, and aligned with Maya Trips’ mission
- Onboarding steps: Submit application or expression of interest; brief interview and orientation; sign the Representative Agreement; begin promotional activities with access to brand tools and support.

- Product knowledge training and continuous updates
- Marketing templates and lead-handling assistance
- Direct communication channel with Maya Trips
Performance Review
- Quarterly review based on: number of confirmed bookings; consistency in outreach and reporting; market insight and contribution to growth
- Successful performance may lead to added responsibilities, regional leadership, or a co-managed Maya Trips office in your market
