Country People & Culture Senior Coordinator (N-24-29)

TheInternational Potato Center (CIP) is looking for a Country People &Culture (P&C) Senior Coordinator who will be responsible for managingall aspects related to the employment cycle in India (such as benefits,employee relations, recruitment, performance management, retention, and others)and ensuring the implementation of CIP policies, procedures and guidelines isin line with current employment law.

  • Actas a HR focal partner for managers and staff to promote decision making that isfair and considers the overall impact at CIP-India office.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection processfor national staff, consultants and interns for CIP-India office by complyingwith internal recruitment policy, good practices and ensure alignment withdonor’s recruitment policies.
  • Givespecialized P&C advice to country levels, in consultation with People andCulture (P&C) Department – HQ and provide support and advice to managersand staff in solving P&C issues and help them to interpret and apply P&Cpolicies and practices in day-to-day work.
  • Providesenior level support to staff to translate business requirements into effectiveP&C practices, delivering people solutions aligned with businessobjectives.
  • Partnerwith the P&C team in HQ to support local policy on disciplinary andgrievance to guarantee compliant decision making and to accompany seniorleaders in complex situations especially those with legal implications.
  • Guideand accompany the induction program for new starters (NRS/GRS and Interns) tocontribute with their smooth transition to the organization.
  • OverseePerformance Management procedures for CIP-India in coordination with P&Cteam in HQ.Liaise with P&C HQ onpromotion requests.
  • Attendstaff development needs and actively participate in supporting the expansion ofthe Talent Management program by collating learning needs and conductinganalyses from performance evaluations.
  • Preparead hoc (non – typical) P&C metrics and reports to support special projects.
  • Contribute to the continuousimprovement of P&C processes, procedures and practices.
  • Undertakeprojects on P&C related topics as assigned.
  • Complywith applicable health and safety CIP policies and procedures.

Requirements
  • Master’sdegree in international development or related field or bachelor’s degree inhuman resources.
  • Atleast 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledgeand expertise related to HR policies, processes and practices of Compensationand Benefits, Recruitment and Onboarding, Performance Management and LeadershipDevelopment.
  • Deepknowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Experienceon HR/Payroll administration and record keeping including compensation, taxesand other deductions/earnings.
  • Fluentin English and Hindi.
  • Excellentwritten and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledgeof other languages spoken in the region would be an asset.
