Country Head of Sales – France

A global leader in the water infrastructure and piping industry is looking to expand operations across Europe and is hiring a Country Head of Sales to drive growth in France. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a strategic and results-oriented sales leader to take full commercial ownership of a growing territory within a critical industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement the national sales strategy to achieve growth and revenue goals.
- Build strong relationships with municipalities, engineering contractors, government bodies, and private sector clients.
- Identify new business opportunities, expand the distribution network, and establish direct client relationships.
- Negotiate and secure large-scale contracts in public infrastructure, utilities, and industrial sectors.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing sales and distribution team.
- Provide technical guidance to clients and ensure excellence in after-sales service.
- Stay ahead of market trends and competitor activities to drive product positioning and innovation.
- Work closely with supply chain, manufacturing, and finance teams to ensure efficient delivery and profitability.
- Maintain compliance with relevant industry standards (ISO, EN, ASTM, etc.) and manage national reporting.
Your Background:
- 10+ years of experience in the water, utilities, or piping industry, particularly in project-based sales.
- Proven track record in managing B2B government or municipality sales.
- Strong knowledge of ductile iron pipes or similar infrastructure materials.
- Degree in engineering or related field preferred.
- Fluent in French and English.
- Skilled in building customer relationships, closing complex deals, and leading cross-functional teams.
- Self-starter, commercially sharp, and motivated to build a market from the ground up.
