Your role :

As CHC Global Communication Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing CHC’s reputation and narrative in support of CHC’s purpose, ambition, business and sustainability strategy. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Communication, CHC, you will be responsible for developing and executing communications strategy and campaigns aimed at various stakeholders. This position requires a well-developed business understanding, with exceptional leadership and communication skills.

Main responsibilities :

  1. In high collaboration with (Group) Media Relations, (Group) Investor Relations, CHC Strategy, and CHC Public Affairs and the local/regional communications network, supported by an external communications agency, key responsibilities are:
  1. In support of the intended separation of CHC, develop and execute integrated communications planning towards CHC’s corporate stakeholders, focusing on investors and media, customers, and partners. Develop toolkits for local adaptation and execution.
  2. In support of our purpose, business strategy, and Corporate Brand, develop and execute stakeholder-centric communication strategy to strengthen our efforts in making healthcare as simple as it can be. Develop the key narrative and an approach to control this narrative, targeting media, financial stakeholders, society at large (e.g., governments, NGOs, trade associations, key influencers), public health officials, (future) employees, and customers (e.g., pharmacies). This plan may involve selected members of the CHC leadership team (e.g., Science, Marketing).
  3. In support of financial reporting, oversee the financial communications (positioning, external and internal communications). Work closely with the Media Relations Lead in developing the PR, Q&A, and CLT preparation.
  4. Issue & Crisis Management: Develop an issue and crisis management toolkit, in close collaboration with Public Affairs, to ensure issues that may impact our reputation are mapped, managed, and monitored, and that when a crisis occurs, communications are in support of dealing with the crisis swiftly, adequately, and transparently.
  5. M&A / partnership related communications: Lead communication-related efforts, in line with key messages of our equity story and CHC strategy.
  6. Talent Attraction: Reinforce our employer branding and targeted messaging to potential pools of recruitment through specific campaigns.
  7. Measurement and feedback: Implement metrics and analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and make data-driven improvements.
  8. Content Creation: Craft persuasive and impactful communication materials, presentations, emails, newsletters, videos, and other content to educate, inspire, and motivate our diverse audiences, with our agency support where needed.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in communication, with some years in corporate communication at the headquarter of a listed company (or for the headquarter of a listed company if in an agency), focusing on corporate audiences, with proven ability to develop and execute successful communication strategies. Experienced in managing complex, multi-dimensional projects.

Global business perspective with local appreciation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially for business communication.

Proven advisory and influencing skills.

Strong leadership & project management skills, with exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills. You build bridges between internal and external audiences, and bring disciplines together in pursuit of an integrated goal.

Crisis communication and issues management experience.

Well-developed business understanding, with experience in dealing with integrated communication.
