Description du poste

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our team and help optimize our core engine of our digital booking platform in the travel industry.

This role focuses on enhancing system performance, optimizing data processing, and implementing efficient business cache strategies to ensure lightning-fast response times.

You will work on an already developed platform, highly connected with many partners and suppliers through APis, ensuring seamless data flow and scalability.

The ideal candidate has previous experience in travel tech, understands the challenges of booking engines platforms and is skilled in Java, nosql / SQL databases , Kafka, and CI / CD best practices.

You will report to the CTO and integrate a team of strong It skilled managers.

Key Responsibilities :

• Optimize the core booking engine, improving performance and scalability.
• Improve and maintain business cache data to support low-latency search and booking operations.
• Improve data processing pipelines for real-time data flow and high throughput.
• Collaborate on architectural decisions and system improvements.
• Ensure high availability and fault tolerance in a distributed system environment.
• Analyze and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, continuously improving efficiency.
• Ensure stability, reliability, and operational excellence by focusing on the RUN aspects of the platform, proactively monitoring and resolving production issues.

Required Skills & Experience :

• Strong experience in Java development, particularly for high-performance systems.
• Solid experience with data processing.
• Proven track record in optimizing large-scale booking or transactional systems.
• Deep understanding of data caching strategies for fast data retrieval.
• Experience working in the travel or hospitality tech sector is a significant advantage.
