Main Responsibilities

  • Managing the European Agricultural and Livestock Markets: You will manage the business unit for European agricultural and livestock markets (excluding Italy), overseeing existing and future SOP distributors.
  • Defining the Annual Operational Plan: In collaboration with SOP's general management, you will set annual sales targets, develop growth strategies for each country and agree on the budgets necessary for their execution.
  • Collaborating with the Team: You will work closely with a passionate team to develop creative and engaging marketing and sales strategies with partners and clients (mainly local distributors), based on trust and mutual commitment to sustainable innovation.
  • International Market Penetration: You will lead the implementation of the market penetration strategy in European countries, promoting solutions that reflect our commitment to a sustainable future.
  • Distributor Support and Training: You will make a difference by providing technical and commercial assistance and training to our distributors and their customers, helping them maximize growth and sales.
  • Opening New Markets: With your entrepreneurial and proactive spirit, you will identify new market opportunities and open doors for our products across Europe, finding new local distributors and customers, creating long-lasting, successful relations.
  • Introducing New Products to Target Markets: You will be a pioneer in introducing new SOP products in the agricultural and livestock sectors. With your passion and determination, you will bring innovation and sustainability to agriculture.
  • Participation in International Trade Shows: You will have the opportunity to represent SOP at international trade shows and conferences, sharing our passion for sustainable agriculture and livestock farming and building meaningful connections with clients and partners.
  • Developing Sales in Production Supply Chains: Thanks to your ability to build strong relationships, you will identify and develop partnerships with key players within production supply chains (dairy and meat), helping spread sustainability at every stage of the food chain.

Requirements

  • Extensive Knowledge of the Livestock Sector: You have in-depth and proven knowledge of the livestock industry, particularly in the dairy sector. A degree in Livestock Science, Veterinary Medicine, Animal Production Science, or equivalent fields will be considered a plus.
  • Sales Management Experience: You have proven experience in sales management, preferably in the livestock and agricultural sectors, with a strong aptitude for acquiring new markets and customers.
  • General Culture: Regardless of your academic background, we place great importance on a solid general knowledge base in economics and management.
  • Motivation for Sustainability: You are highly motivated and oriented towards environmental, economic, and social sustainability issues.
  • Languages: A strong command of English, both written and spoken, is essential for the role in order to interact with a wide range of international stakeholders. Knowledge of other languages (Portuguese, Spanish, French, German) is a strong advantage.
  • Autonomy and Remote Work Skills: You have to work independently and remotely, demonstrating precision and punctuality in reporting on activities, objectives, and KPIs.
  • Digital Skills: You possess excellent digital skills for managing sales, communication, and reporting tools.
  • Willingness to Travel: You are willing to travel (at least 70% of the time) to meet with clients, distributors, attend trade shows, and engage in other business activities.

Work Location

Primarily abroad, with periodic visits to the headquarters in Busto Arsizio, 21052, Varese, Italy.
