Job Summary :Reporting to the Manager of Compliance and Continuous Improvement, the incumbent will be an ambassador of our food safety culture, not only by maintaining the HACCP-SQF system, but also by interacting with employees from different departments to support this culture and ensure that it operates smoothly. The HACCP-SQF coordinator will work in collaboration with various teams such as quality control, production, R&D and maintenance.

This Job Requires:
  • Training: DEC in dietetics, food processing or other relevant training;
  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar position;
  • Training in the implementation of prerequisite programs and HACCP plans;
  • Knowledge of the SQF code
  • Intermediate English (advanced English an asset);
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;
  • Knowledge of Paperless and Interal (asset).
Main Responsibilities:
  • Bring to life the company’s food safety culture through frequent presence on the production floor and interaction with all employees;
  • Integrate a new site and a planned expansion into our quality system;
  • Ensure regulatory monitoring;
  • Manage annual reassessments;
  • Ensure monthly verification of CCPs;
  • Participate in various customer and SQF audits;
  • Respond to CFIA inspector demands;
  • Carry out monthly and annual reviews with the HACCP-SQF team;
  • Handle complaints and follow up with customers;
  • Organize the mock recall simulation, crisis management and annual defense plan;
  • Perform risk analysis, establish action plans and follow up with CFIA;
  • Develop validation protocols and assess the effectiveness of existing control measures;
  • Ensure staff training;
