Job Description:
Business finance partner to Tech teams on Transversal and Major Projects and Initiatives, responsible for Controlling including planning, forecasting, analysing and challenging financial KPIs, as well as supporting wider Global Tech Controlling responsibilities on controlling of Corporate Tech spend and Tech spend globally. Supporting European Tech operations and initiatives.
Major Projects include Point of Sale (POS) and D365 ERP initiatives. The scope will evolve with Business Priorities over time and on projects from Design and Build phases through to Rollout and Run.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the full budgeting and planning process for selected Transversal and Major Projects with significant Tech involvement. Business partnering with Project teams on Controlling including planning, forecasting, analysing and challenging financial KPIs, and supporting wider Global Tech Controlling responsibilities for consolidation into Global reporting requirements. Includes reviews with Project Leads and Sponsors, and final submission to Corporate finance and Global CIO. Supporting governance and international coordination on Tech elements of projects.
- Managing worldwide reporting of IT resources on Tech costs within Major Projects and Initiatives, covering cash (build, run), P&L (OPEX, CAPEX), FTEs (internal, external), and specific analyses on significant Tech involvement (e.g., programs, CSR, market benchmarks).
- Delivering accurate and timely management reporting, analysis, and insights.
- Contributing to the development and improvement of financial systems and controlling processes.
- Ensuring financial review, consolidation, and validation of IT investments on Major Projects, with focus on business cases and value analyses.
- Continuing evolution of financial systems (primarily, CRAFT for IT) and processes to meet business and project requirements.
- Providing financial analysis, reports, and presentations to senior management (ad hoc, monthly, quarterly, yearly).
- Consolidating, reviewing, analyzing, and challenging the financial trajectory of the 3-year IT MTP according to the global IT strategy.
- Reviewing capital expenditure requests related to Major Projects before approval, and conducting post-mortems on existing projects.
- Supporting issuance of worldwide financial guidelines on Major projects and tailoring them to Tech project level when needed.
- Supporting the intercompany IT recharges process and reconciling main recharges accounts.
- Assisting with purchase order processes with IT stakeholders.
- Overseeing and analyzing budget, reforecast, and actuals on Transversal and Major projects, monitoring deviations and project progress.
- Contributing to managing Global IT agreements, invoicing activities, and cost reallocation models.
- Supporting the Head of IT, Global CIO, and CIO office to ensure the success of IT strategy and transformation.
- Working with Global/Regional CIOs on budget presentations, insights, and decision facilitation.
- Contributing to IT contract management, review, and approval, including financial advice on negotiations.
- Animating the community of IT controllers.
What You Will Bring:
- Masters degree in Finance with 5 to 8 years of experience in Finance and controlling roles.
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills. Knowledge of Hyperion, TM1, D365, SAP desirable but not essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence to engage with senior management.
- Strong analytical skills, capable of detailed and strategic thinking.
- Ability to anticipate needs, think critically, and offer pragmatic solutions.
