Job summary

Anotech in Île-de-France invites experienced Control & Safety System Engineers to support ICSS on large Oil & Gas projects, participating in Basic and Detailed Engineering. You will develop/update DCS and SIS specifications, review ICSS architectures, coordinate interfaces, and support validation at installation, plus contribute to Functional Safety studies and system documentation.

Requires 10+ years in Oil & Gas, an engineering degree, ISA/IEC knowledge, and fluent English; onshore/offshore

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Automation, Control Systems, Instrumentation, or Electrical Engineering is required.
• 10+ years of experience in Control & Safety Systems within Oil & Gas.
• Experience with onshore and offshore projects is preferred.

Job Description

We are looking for experienced Control & Safety System Engineers to support the development and execution of engineering activities related to Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) on major Oil & Gas projects.

The successful candidates will participate in both Basic Engineering and Detailed Engineering phases, ensuring compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations.

• Develop and/or update technical specifications for DCS and SIS systems.
• Prepare and review Integrated Control & Safety System (ICSS) architectures.
• Participate in Basic and Detailed Engineering studies related to control and safety systems.
• Coordinate internal and external interfaces with engineering disciplines, suppliers, partners, and subcontractors.
• Support validation activities related to the installation of Control, Safety, and Fire & Gas systems.
• Prepare and review functional documentation, including: Functional Analyses Control Narratives Cause & Effect Matrices Logic Diagrams
• Participate in Functional Safety studies.
• Ensure compliance with project procedures, quality requirements, and engineering best practices.
• Report engineering progress and technical issues to the Discipline Lead.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in Automation, Control Systems, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Control & Safety Systems within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of: DCS (Distributed Control Systems) SIS (Safety Instrumented Systems) ICSS (Integrated Control & Safety Systems) Fire & Gas Systems (F&G)
• Experience with both onshore and offshore projects is preferred.
• Proven experience working in multidisciplinary engineering environments.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of Oil & Gas Control & Safety Systems.
• Good knowledge of industrial processes and Fire & Gas applications.
• Familiarity with ISA standards (ISA 5.1 / 5.2 / 5.3 / 5.4 / 5.5 / 5.6).
• Knowledge of IEC 61511 and IEC 62443 standards.
• Functional Safety certification (TÜV, QUALI-SIL, or equivalent) is considered an advantage.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Visio).
• Excellent technical reporting and documentation skills.
