Contracts Lead - FoundationsOffshore Wind ProjectsParis, France (3 days per week)12 Month Contract (Renewable)Competitive Rates(French Ltd / Portage)Currently recruiting on behalf of an international renewables developer for a Contracts Lead for the Foundations package. The Contracts Lead will oversee contracts and procurement activities related to foundation contracting for four offshore wind projects in Europe, with a total capacity of 5.5 GW.
Role Responsibilities- Lead and manage pre- and post-contract activities for foundation supply packages.
- Manage procurement requirements, including bid assessments, commercial evaluations, and supplier appraisals.
- Coordinate effectively with project teams, legal, finance, planning, and insurance departments.
- Ensure adherence to project procurement and contract management procedures and best practices.
- Manage contracts, monitor supplier obligations, and oversee payment processes.
- Handle claims and variations with legal and project support.
- Collaborate with finance and insurance teams to ensure compliance and communication.
- Take accountability for contracts and commercial activities across all four projects.
- Manage contract and procurement activities for fabrication of foundations and transition pieces.
- Work closely with project stakeholders to lead contract management activities.
- Develop contracts that are compliant, mitigate risks, and support project needs, including managing supplier performance through KPIs.
- Implement and ensure compliance with business processes, contract procedures, and good practices.
- Support the project team in obtaining necessary approvals.
- Identify future contractual interfaces and strategies, including lease areas.
- Manage confidentiality agreements with contractors and service providers.
- Perform due diligence on main suppliers, including market intelligence, compliance, and risk assessments.
- Liaise with HQ procurement (TGP) and project C&P leads.
Tools- Utilize procurement tools and systems such as E-sourcing, ERP, and AGORA effectively.
- Ensure proper use of ERP “MBC” linked with finance and technical teams.
- Participate in vendor master creation and purchase order processes in ERP.
- Pre-qualify main suppliers in coordination with TGP.
- Manage and administer procurement tools properly.
- Participate in procurement training sessions for end users.
Role Requirements- Experience in contracts and procurement, business, accounting, or related fields.
- Proven expertise in procurement processes, including market analysis, tenders, standards, and regulations.
- Familiarity with procurement software such as Ariba, ERP (MBC), and Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint).
- Strong stakeholder management skills, capable of working with international teams, vendors, subcontractors, and HQ.
- Excellent organizational skills.
