Currently recruiting on behalf of an International Renewables Developer for a Contracts Lead for the Foundations Package. The Contracts Lead for Foundations will ensure contracts and procurement tasks for Foundation contracting activities related to 4 Offshore Wind Projects in Europe totalling 5.5GW in generating capacity.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the pre and post contract management activities for the Foundation Supply packages.
- Lead any procurement requirements for the package including bid assessments, conducting the commercial assessment and supplier appraisal.
- Ensure timely and close co-operation and communication with the package manager, legal, finance, planning and insurance departments.
- Responsible for following project procurement and contract management procedures and good practice.
- Contract manage the package contracts including payment obligations, monitoring supplier and employer contract obligations.
- Manage claims and variations with support from legal and package management.
- Co-ordinate with finance team and insurance to ensure communication and compliance.
- Assume accountability for contracts and commercial activity for the 4 Offshore Wind Projects.
- Pro-actively manage and deliver the Contract and Procurement activities associated with the fabrication of Foundation and Transition Pieces.
- Closely collaborate and co-operate with the relevant project stakeholders to lead and manage contract management activities.
- Set out contracts that are fully compliant to support the business needs of the project and mitigate commercial risks to the project and drive appropriate supplier performance through effective key performance indicators. Determine when ultimate contract terms have been achieved and take responsibility for the same.
- Ensure that all defined business processes, contract management procedures and good practice are implemented and adhered to in the project.
- Support to the project team in obtaining internal and partnership approvals
- Identify and allow for future contractual interfaces based on possible contractual strategies and potential additional lease areas.
- Confidentiality Agreements with various Parties (Contractors and Service Companies)
- Perform and/or verify Due Diligence activities on main suppliers for FOU package (Market intelligence, compliance review, commercial benchmark, supplier risk review)
- Liaison with HQ procurement branch (TGP) and the Project C&P Lead.
Tools
- Use systematically the tools and systems available (E-sourcing, ERP, AGORA etc)for the C&P process.
- Ensure use of current ERP “MBC” (link with Finance department, Technical Entities etc).
- Participate or ensure Vendor Master Creation and Purchase Orders in ERP “MBC”.
- Pre-Qualification of main suppliers in relation with TGP.
- Ensure all tools are properly managed and administered.
- Participate in C&P trainings for end users.
Role Requirements
- Expertise in Contracts & Procurement, Business, Accounting or other field with suitable experience in contracts administration.
- Previous expertise in procurement process including: market competitive analysis, international tenders, standards, regulations and procedures.
- The service provider shall have expertise for Procurement software: Ariba, ERP (MBC), Microsoft Office (Excel & Power point specifically).
- Ability to work closely with various stakeholders including but not limited to diverse international teams, vendors & subcontractors, affiliates, HQ, etc.
- Organisational skills.
