Airswift is currently looking for a Contracts Engineerto work with an EPC Company based in Paris.





Job Title: Contracts Engineer


Location : Nanterre


Start Date : ASAP


Duration : 12 month renewable





The specification defines the conditions the requirements for the subcontracting services related to additional resource for the Contract management Team (Contract Engineer) to be performed by the SUBCONTRACTOR on North Field South (NFS) Project.

OBJECT OF THE SUBCONTRACT

Contract : English AND French





The SUBCONTRACTOR will perform the following tasks:



  • The Contract Engineer is fully assigned to the North Field South Project (Engineering, Procurement and Construction Project of a LNG plant for the Qatar, multi-billions EUR project), and will be mobilized at Home Office (Paris – France).
  • He/she will embedded into the contract management team (management of the prime contract with the client), assisting the Contract Manager for the project execution. Whilst the contract management team is currently abroad at site, the resource will be working in Paris, with project team. Therefore a certain level of autonomy in the function is expected.
  • In general, provide appropriate support to the Contract Manager in the management and administration of the contract, consistently with the relevant policies, standards and processes.
  • Monitor timely adherence by T.EN (EPC Contractor), by the Client and by the supply chain to their respective contractual provisions (entitlement checking, notifications, insurances, bonds, certifications, operational, etc) and coordinate any actions required in this regards with other T.EN departments.
  • Perform contract analyses on specific topics, when requested by management
  • Initiate, draft and/or review, as the case may be, incoming and outgoing correspondence with Clients, Partners and, if needed, with supply chain.
  • Initiate and coordinate the preparation, negotiation and settlement of change orders and claims towards the client and support procurement/subcontracting teams for the same towards/from the suppliers/subcontractors.
  • Provide contract and legal support to the procurement/subcontracting teams for the pre and post award activities of the orders with the supply chain (negotiation of particular terms and conditions, management of claims and other subject out of usual day to day procurement/subcontracting scope) (purchasing services) and subsequent contract management activities towards the client (selling services).
  • Liaise and obtain when required legal expertise from the Legal Team (corporate, compliance, Intellectual property, insurance, litigation, general legal advice), from other functions (treasury, tax, etc.).
  • Functionally reports to the Head of Contract Management Department.
  • Operationally reports to the Contract Manager, with interactions with the Procurement/Subcontracting Manager.
  • Scope could evolve and be adapted during performance of the service.







REQUESTED QUALIFICATIONS

The services to be performed by The SUBCONTRACTOR require the following skills and experience:





Field of expertise in:



  • Oil & Gas Industry,
  • EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) projects
  • Contract management towards the client (selling services)
  • Negotiation of legal provision of purchase orders (pre-award activities)
  • Knowledge in compliance, Intellectual property, insurance
  • English spoken. French is a real plus.
  • Autonomous, rigorous, good communication skills
  • Full knowledge of standards: English law / Common law.
  • Knowledge of the softwares: Nothing special (Office…)





Quality OF THE ISSUED DOCUMENTS

Documents issued by the SUBCONTRACTOR shall have the required quality according to above defined tasks, in particular:


- Technical quality


- Content quality (in relation with information contained in documentation)


- All documents will be written in the contract





operational representative may at any time check the work being done by the SUBCONTRACTOR and reserves the right of intervention while performance is under way in order to enforce compliance with the CONTRACT. SUBCONTRACTOR’s contractual responsibilities will not be released.



SCHEDULE AND TARGETS

The SUBCONTRACTOR will follow the Project Planning targets. These documents are available with operational lead representative.
