Contract Engineer (T&I) for Offshore Wind Developer
This is a virtual job opportunity with a major offshore wind developer based in France.
Responsibilities
- Consolidate market intelligence for procurement segments.
- Gather supplier intelligence related to marine installation vessels for OFW developments.
- Facilitate multidisciplinary workshops with engineers, legal experts, and project teams.
- Conduct market pricing and benchmark analyses using appropriate models and market indexes.
- Organize supply chain consultations, including meetings and RFI management, in collaboration with technical teams and stakeholders.
- Negotiate contractual terms, conditions, and variations.
- Analyze, summarize, and present outcomes to management.
- Coordinate with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure scope delivery.
- Maintain proper document management and adhere to templates and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or business.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, ability to work cross-functionally, adaptable.
- Knowledge of offshore operations like pipe laying, platform installation, dredging, and cable laying.
- Experience in commercial and contractual negotiations within the offshore marine industry.
- Understanding of offshore transportation and installation activities.
- International industry experience.
- Familiarity with offshore wind installation methodologies.
- Experience in negotiating complex construction contracts.
- Experience in preparing bid documents, including commercial and contractual aspects.
- Solid understanding of industrial projects in Oil & Gas or Renewable energies.
- Proficiency with digital procurement tools.
- Experience in contracting, supply chain management, and tender processes.
