We are looking for a Consulting Engineer to join our team and support cutting-edge network automation projects across Europe. In this role, you will work with industry-leading service providers, implementing innovative automation solutions and integrating Cisco and open-source technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive technology design, implementation, execution, and optimization for customer projects.
• Work closely with customers to plan, design, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco’s suite of products and solutions.
• Assist with integration and implementation of tools, systems, and service assurance.
• Support presales activities and translate business requirements into solution designs.
• Build customer simulations in test labs to validate complex problems and compatibility issues.
• Develop and deliver customer documentation, portals, and knowledge transfer materials.
• Align technical deliverables with customer business objectives.
• Influence solution architectures and services to drive customer technology transitions.
• Comply with company policies and processes while leveraging tools to support Professional Services’ strategies and goals.

Role-Specific Responsibilities:

• Act as a trusted advisor, building long-term relationships with customers across Europe.
• Engage in design, development, and deployment of network automation projects.
• Collaborate with project teams following the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Deliver software solutions to major service providers.
• Work with a variety of platforms and protocols, including Cisco and open-source solutions.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Basic understanding of network programmability (NETCONF/YANG, REST, JSON, network telemetry).
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Artifactory, Robot Framework, Pipelines).
• Hands-on experience with deployment and orchestration technologies (Ansible, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenStack).
• Experience working with and maintaining Linux systems.
• Knowledge of Network Function Virtualization (NFV).

• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

• Self-motivated and creative mindset with a passion for collaboration and innovation.
• Eagerness to learn and stay up to date with new technologies.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Cisco NSO/CNC.
• Basic understanding of internet routing protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, ISIS, OSPF).
• Experience working in Agile environments and using tools like Rally and Jira.
