We are growing! We are seeking to fill the position of: Consultant, International Development & Franchising
This role is ideal for a France-based professional with excellent professional English, a background in the restaurant or franchising industry, and proven commercial instincts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the restaurant sector and qualities of a high-performing franchisee recruitment representative, including lead generation, consultative selling, relationship development, and effective deal progression.
The role requires travel within designated markets (France, Benelux, French Switzerland) and possibly others.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to Partner/Head of International Development and Franchising Advisory
- Lead business development initiatives in designated markets in line with client mandates
- Identify and initiate discussions with potential franchise/JV partners for client brands
- Lead prospects through franchise qualification and discovery, including brand presentations, relationship cultivation, negotiations, and progressing prospects to agreement signature, following WSP sales process
- Manage prospects from lead generation through negotiations, supporting negotiations led by CEOs
- Support CEO & Head of International Development in client management, franchise development, and reporting
- Expand company network in the region and support clients' in-market brand awareness efforts
- Conduct market research to identify target companies and groups
- Maintain CRM updates to ensure pipeline details are current and leads are managed effectively
- Represent the company at marketing/networking events in the region, such as Franchise Expo Paris, to facilitate lead activation and visibility
- Support the development and strategy team on France-focused topics as needed
Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience in business development or sales
- Comfortable interacting with C-level professionals, investors, and business owners
- Clear understanding of the franchise or restaurant market
- Highly organized and able to work autonomously
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, fluent in English and French (additional European languages are a plus)
