Pre-Sales Solution Architect – Mainframe Modernisation & Cloud Services

Are you passionate about leading enterprise-level transformation initiatives? Do you have deep technical knowledge in Mainframe Modernisation and Public Cloud Services, with the ability to influence at all levels?

Salary: €85,000 - €100,000 + Bonus and Benefits

Location: France - Remote with some travel

Full-time: Permanent

We’re seeking a Senior Pre-Sales Solution Architect to join our client's high-performing team and play a pivotal role in shaping innovative solutions for our clients. This role requires both technical expertise and strategic vision to support large-scale modernisation and cloud adoption programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of winning pre-sales solutions, proposals, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with account teams, clients, and partners to design and deliver innovative Mainframe and Cloud Services solutions.
  • Advise customers on migration strategies to Private or Public Cloud environments.
  • Architect and implement mainframe infrastructure and modernisation solutions, both on-premises and in the cloud.
  • Act as a thought leader and trusted advisor, influencing decision-makers up to board level.
  • Drive best practices in automation, DevOps integration, and CI/CD for mainframe environments.
  • Ensure solutions meet high standards in availability, security, compliance, and performance.
Required Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Master’s preferred.
  • At least 7 years of presales experience with strong expertise in Mainframe and Cloud services.
  • Proven experience designing, provisioning, and implementing mainframe modernisation solutions.
  • Recognised certifications in Public Cloud Services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Solid experience with IBM Z-series, z/OS, JES2/3, SDSF, SMF, CICS, DB2, MQ, RACF, and VSAM.
  • Strong knowledge of mainframe networking, storage, and security frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to articulate business value and differentiate solutions from competitors.
  • Experience with solution/product portfolios and large accounts in the tech industry.
Preferred Skills:
  • Expertise in cloud integration, hybrid architectures, and API-based modernisation.
  • Hands-on experience in performance tuning, workload balancing, and capacity planning.
  • Knowledge of governance models and enterprise infrastructure best practices.
  • Passion for transformation and customer success.
