Vulcain Engineering Belgium is looking for an experienced Construction Supervisor to join its team and support the construction of a new food factory.

ABOUT THE POSITION
  • Oversee Daily Construction Activities: Manage on-site operations to ensure the build follows design plans, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate Teams and Subcontractors: Supervise multiple trades, ensure effective communication, and resolve conflicts to keep the project on schedule.
  • Enforce Health, Safety & Hygiene Standards: Implement and monitor safety protocols, with a strong focus on food-safe construction practices.
  • Monitor Progress and Quality: Track construction milestones, conduct inspections, and ensure high-quality workmanship aligned with food industry compliance (e.g., GMP, HACCP).
  • Manage Resources and Solve Problems: Optimize use of materials, equipment, and labor while addressing site issues or technical challenges as they arise.
ABOUT YOU
  • Master Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Process/Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience of 3+ years in a supervisory role in industrial construction projects
  • Familiarity with construction tools, equipment, and software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, etc.)
  • Must be willing to work on-site and adapt to project timelines
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English is a must, French is a plus
