A Snapshot of Your Day

The GT GS entity (Grid Transmission & Solutions) builds turnkey electrical infrastructures for its customers in France and abroad: mainly high-voltage substations for network operators (TSO) and private customers (Datacenters & Industry) in Europe and Africa, HVDC conversion stations, and hybrid renewable power plants (photovoltaic, hydrogen and electrical storage batteries). Full-time, you are based on our construction sites in France and abroad. You manage the project along the main three site phases up to client handover: civil work, installation, and commissioning. The assignments may last from 1 to 3 years. You oversee the site supervisors, the subcontractors and the site organization. You liaise constantly with the project team and the Construction department based in Grenoble to successfully complete the project strategy. You build strong relationship with site representative of our customers, partners, and subcontractors.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• As a key resource within the SIEMENS ENERGY team, you will ensure that the project's requirements are met across the entire scope of construction site activities.
• You are the main point of contact for our clients on the construction site and must be able to guarantee their satisfaction.
• From the construction site opening phases, during the execution of civil and electromechanical installation work, and up to the acceptance tests with our clients, you will bear the responsibility for the SIEMENS ENERGY teams (2 to 20 people) and the subcontracting companies working on site (Construction Budget of 3 to 30 million euros).
• You ensure the safety of all individuals present on your site and oversee compliance with local legal and regulatory obligations by the staff.
• You guarantee the quality of the work performed in accordance with SIEMENS ENERGY processes and our clients' requirements.
• You ensure that work is completed within the agreed timeframes, in line with the construction site schedule.
• You are involved in the construction site preparation phases (general organization of the site, planning of the works, definition of subcontracting packages, assistance with consultations and the contracting of works, clearing of administrative and technical prerequisites, mobilization of companies, etc.)
• In perfect coordination with the project manager and the management of SIEMENS ENERGY, you take all necessary steps to protect the company's interests and initiate corrective measures within your authority.

What You Bring

• With an advanced engineering degree or equivalent (bac +5), you have successful experience in project management on site within the energy sector in France and internationally (> 10 years).
• As a hands-on individual, you are passionate about energy technologies.
• Recognized for your diligence and leadership, you are known for your ability to find solutions to meet safety, deadline, and quality objectives on your construction site while maintaining the overall cost of the project.
• Your dynamism, commitment, and interpersonal skills are major assets for this position.
• You are willing to travel for long-term assignments in France, Europe and Africa (up to 3 years).
• You are proficient in using the Office suite and can adapt to a digitized environment.
• You are fluent in French and English.
• Experience of main French customers (ENEDIS, EDF, RTE) is a plus.
• Experience of construction sites located in Africa is a plus.
• Experience of construction sites of data center substation is a plus.
• Access to a Project Manager position with overall responsibility for the project (human, financial, and technical), either onshore or offshore.
