Qualifications

AXA Group Operations spans over 15 countries and employs around 7000 staff members.

Your role in the organization

The division

You will join AXA Group Operations Finance, which is responsible for driving and monitoring the strategic plan, setting budgets and efficiency targets, tracking actuals versus targets, providing financial information for decision-making, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Main responsibilities:

  • Oversee the strategic plan, budgets, and efficiency targets of AXA GO, including tracking and control of actuals versus budgets.
  • Establish and maintain cost accounting for AXA GO.
  • Develop mechanisms for cost recharging, set rules for financial implications of services, and monitor cash management.
  • Prepare and ensure compliance of financial statements with regulatory requirements and tax regulations.
  • Coordinate and manage M&A projects at AXA GO level.

The division comprises departments such as Controlling, Commercial Finance, Accounting, Corporate Finance, and Finance Transformation.

Within the Accounting Department, the Accounting Consolidation team handles IFRS Consolidation, Operational Accounting, and Central Treasury. The Consolidation Expert will be the key contact for IFRS Consolidation topics.

Job overview

The Consolidation Expert will prepare AXA GO SAS consolidated accounts for submission to AXA group headquarters, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. The role involves analyzing financial statements and coordinating budgeting and forecasting with stakeholders.

Main tasks:

  • Prepare quarterly consolidated figures from statutory accounts, including IFRS restatements.
  • Submit consolidated figures for AXA GO SAS and its branches in Magnitude.
  • Maintain an audit trail explaining statutory to IFRS differences.
  • Manage quarterly closing, analyze variances, and reconcile intercompany reports.
  • Prepare materials for clearance meetings and handle requests from Group teams.
  • Ensure compliance with Group Accounting policies and perform ad-hoc analysis.
  • Participate in SAP S/4HANA project phases.

Education & Experience

Education:

Master's in Accounting or Finance from a business school or university.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years in Consolidation, Accounting, or Auditing, with a focus on consolidation topics.
  • Experience with systems like S/4HANA is preferred.
  • Experience in a Big 4 firm is a plus.

Skills:

Technical skills:

  • Knowledge of IFRS consolidation techniques.
  • Understanding of accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SAP BFC (Magnitude).
  • Fluent in English and French.
