Job Description:

Your Mission In our Data mesh organization, the Data Capabilities squad manages data products related to BlaBlaCar members (Identity, Trust and Safety, Community, Support) and platform (Authentication, Payment, Messaging). The squad builds a data warehouse to serve clean data to data practitioners, stakeholders, and 700 employees. They provide analysis, tools, and own services like fraud detection and content moderation. The data warehouse uses Google BigQuery, Airflow, and DBT, and covers data from raw ingestion to data-mart layer. As a Confirmed Analytic Engineer, you will own member and platform data, working closely with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers to deliver data products for decision-making. You will also contribute to the Data Engineering Chapter to improve our data stack, tools, and processes.

Your Responsibilities

• Translate analytical needs into data model designs and specifications.
• Build efficient, robust data models for large data volumes.
• Develop and optimize data workflows from raw data to data marts.
• Implement solutions to enhance data quality.
• Communicate Data Engineering decisions within your domain.
• Contribute to defining data management policies and standards.
• Articulate strategies for building an interoperable data platform.

Your Qualifications

• Fluency in English.
• Excellent communication skills, humility, eagerness to share and learn.
• Ability to adapt, prioritize, and focus on value-added tasks.
• Results-driven and impact-oriented mindset.
• Experience working with data producers (developers) and consumers (analysts).
• Ability to design data architectures.
• Strong data engineering skills, SQL expertise, cloud data warehouse experience.
• Proficiency in Python, including testing, deployment, and refactoring.
• Experience with DataMarts, Airflow, DBT, Salesforce APIs is a plus.
