Your Mission

We are looking for a Confirmed Android Engineer to join our Monetize Squad at BlaBlaCar. You will build and optimize features that enable our passengers to seamlessly purchase their trips, enhancing the experience and fostering customer satisfaction and loyalty. As a Confirmed Android Engineer, your role will involve tackling technical challenges and developing product features from conception through development, testing, deployment, and monitoring of new releases.

You will report to the Engineering Manager of the squad and work with a team of 9 other engineers: 2 iOS, 1 Android, 1 SPA, and 5 backend. You will also be part of the transversal Android chapter, consisting of 11 Android Engineers dedicated to BlaBlaCar's mobile application.

Your responsibilities

1. Design, architect, and develop features for the BlaBlaCar applications
2. Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to shape features for production
3. Ensure the quality of the application and contribute to its improvement
4. Enhance tooling and the CI/CD pipeline
5. Share knowledge within the team through documentation, best practices, and communication
6. Have 3+ years of experience building Android apps with a strong engineering culture
7. Experience with MVVM architecture and clean architecture
8. Experience working with RESTful APIs, Dagger, Retrofit, Kotlin, Kotlin coroutines, unit and integration tests
9. Balance fast iterations with quality of delivery
10. Good communication skills, enjoy sharing and learning
11. Embrace change, focus on added-value tasks
12. Results-driven and product-oriented mindset
13. Proficiency in English
