About BlaBlaCar: BlaBlaCar is the world’s leading community-based travel app enabling 27 million members a year to carpool or travel by bus in 21 countries. Our team of 800 employees counts over 50 nationalities and is spread across our 5 global offices, with 30% working fully remotely.

Your Mission: We are looking for a Confirmed Android Engineer to join our Monetize Squad at BlaBlaCar. You'll build and optimize features enabling our passengers to seamlessly purchase their trips, enhancing the experience and fostering customer satisfaction and loyalty. As a Confirmed Android Engineer, you'll work on technical challenges and product feature development from early conception to deployment and monitoring of releases. You will report to the Engineering Manager of the squad and work with a team of 9 other engineers, including specialists in iOS, SPA, and backend development. You will also be part of the transversal Android chapter of 11 Android Engineers dedicated to BlaBlaCar's mobile app.

Responsibilities:

• Design, architect, and develop features for BlaBlaCar applications.
• Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to shape features for production.
• Ensure the quality of the application and contribute to improvements.
• Enhance tooling and CI/CD pipelines.
• Share knowledge through documentation, enforce best practices, and communicate changes.
• Conduct code reviews.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience building Android apps with a strong engineering culture.
• Experience with MVVM architecture, clean architecture, RESTful APIs, Dagger, Retrofit, Kotlin, Kotlin coroutines, and testing.
• Ability to balance fast iterations with quality delivery.
• Good communication skills and a passion for sharing and learning.
• Adaptability, focus on value-added tasks, and a results-driven mindset.
• Full working proficiency in English.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-growing, and innovative environment.
• Ownership mindset aligned with business priorities.
