About BlaBlaCar: BlaBlaCar is the world’s leading community-based travel app, enabling 27 million members a year to carpool or travel by bus across 21 countries. Our team of 800 employees includes over 50 nationalities, spread across 5 global offices, with 30% working fully remotely.

Your Mission: We are seeking a Confirmed Android Engineer to join our Monetize Squad. You will develop features that enable our passengers to purchase trips seamlessly, improving user experience and loyalty. Your role includes tackling technical challenges from conception through deployment and monitoring. You will report to the Engineering Manager and collaborate with a team of 9 engineers, including specialists in iOS, SPA, and backend development. You will also be part of the Android chapter of 11 engineers dedicated to BlaBlaCar's mobile app.

Your responsibilities:

1. Design, architect, and develop features for BlaBlaCar applications
2. Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to shape features
3. Ensure application quality and contribute to improvements
4. Enhance tooling and CI/CD pipelines
5. Share knowledge through documentation, enforce best practices, and communicate changes
6. Conduct code reviews

Your qualifications:

• Over 3 years of experience building Android apps with a strong engineering culture
• Experience with MVVM and clean architecture
• Proficiency with RESTful API, Dagger, Retrofit, Kotlin, coroutines, testing
• Ability to balance rapid iteration with quality
• Good communication skills; enjoy sharing and learning
• Adaptability, focus on value-added tasks
• Results-driven, product-oriented mindset
• Full professional proficiency in English
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-growing environment and take ownership aligned with business priorities
