A health service organization is seeking a Senior Peer Support Worker to supervise junior Peer Support Workers and lead social inclusion initiatives. This role emphasizes professional and lived experiences to foster recovery-oriented practices. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in peer support and skills in leadership and interpersonal communication. This position is full-time and permanent in France, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.

This campaign has been sanctioned as a confined competition within the Health Service Executive (HSE). Applications are invited from staff currently employed as Peer Support Workers within HSE South West (Cork/Kerry area) who meet the specific eligibility criteria and post-specific requirements for the role.
Senior Peer Support Workers in Mental Health Services are individuals employed by an organisation to use their vast array of professional and lived experiences to offer line management and support to their junior Peer Support Worker colleagues. Their tasks includes the supervision of peers as they lead on social inclusion initiatives for service users in line with their agreed care plans, enhancing peer structures that will facilitate better professional relationships with peer and non-peer service providers, whilst also leading on organisational recovery goals that fosters hope for all those who work and use the services.
The provision of a designated role and resource to provide peer support supervision will ensure that the critical governance of supervision for peer support workers is adequately provided. The provision of supervision by an experience peer support worker will ensure that the supervisee will practice to the highest standard of best practice in peer support ensuring that the service continued to build its recovery orientation and deliver high quality recovery outcomes to its service uses.
