The Skilled Operator supports and executes operational activities and processes according to established specifications and (quality, safety, and environmental) guidelines to achieve production and operational targets for the assigned area.

The Skilled Operator is an entry-level role responsible for performing basic operational processes in production. He/she operates equipment and machinery requiring proficiency gained through on-the-job and specialized training.

Knowledge of materials, equipment, and tools is essential to perform tasks effectively, which typically requires time and experience to develop.

The activities mainly involve (semi) routine work, performed based on training and experience, with assistance available from Multi-Skilled Operators, Supervisors, Team Leaders, or others when needed.

Operational Activities:

• Execute operational processes such as discharging, loading, transporting, cleaning, labeling, and operating equipment to ensure safe, effective, and efficient production.

Maintenance & Repair Tasks:

• Inspect equipment periodically and perform small maintenance tasks, reporting defects and deficiencies.
• Conduct minor repairs if applicable and appropriate.

Reporting:

• Record data and activities related to production orders in logbooks or systems for comprehensive administration and monitoring.
• Report deviations and suggest improvements to supervisors to optimize processes, tools, and systems.

Safety & Compliance:

• Adhere to all relevant safety, environmental, and quality regulations and standards.
• Promote safety awareness, identify hazards, and take appropriate action in unsafe situations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, ensuring no hazards are present, and keep the production environment tidy and well-maintained.
